I'm Writing a Book!

After 20 years of teaching art and designing art docent programs, I decided to sit down and create a big, beautiful art history and lesson book for kids 5-15! I'm so excited for this new project and to share my advice and ideas with educators and parents. Click on the "Book Info" link to find out more about this project!

Who am I?

Hi there! I'm Edna Lemm, an art specialist based in Montana with a passion for teaching art. With over 20 years of experience, I have taught K-12 art classes, conducted teacher workshops, and trained adults as art docents for three school-wide programs. Art is not just my profession, but also my lifelong passion, and I spend a lot of time playing around with lesson ideas and creating my own art (I just can't seem to get enough of it!). On this website, you'll find lessons that have brought out the fun and creativity in me and have made a big splash with my students. Art history is my area of expertise, and most of my school lessons are art history-based. However, I also teach summer classes that cover a wide range of subjects and mediums, allowing for diverse learning experiences. As an art educator, I love to share my lessons and ideas with fellow teachers and artists. Feel free to use any of the projects on this website, and if you happen to post about it, please reference this website (and don't forget to send me photos, as I love seeing them!). My goal is to inspire and empower others to continue doing art and exploring their creative potential. Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope you find inspiration and joy in the lessons and resources I've created. Keep doing art! - Edna

These are little free standing libraries that have a “host” who looks after them and can be located in someone’s yard , out in the country, or in front of a business or in a park.  You can take a book to read or leave one for someone else to find.
